At the beginning of the new millennium Random Rhodes, Steve Bass and Groovemaster7 found themselves studying jazz in Berlin and playing lots of gigs as a jazztrio. Realizing that they also share the love for electronic clubmusic YE:SOLAR started improvising and creating their own material with one vision in mind - combining both the jazz background with styles like deep-house and elektro. In fact, another important reason for this change was not to play in front of wine-drinking mid-fifties, but to have serious crowds dancing to their music - a rough and fresh sound you could call elektrojazz or even punkjazz! Also production-wise they found a genuine sound which blends up-to-date production skills with their unique musical ideas. But honestly - the real shit is YE:SOLARs live performance and raw energy! There's no doubt you will forget anything you ever heard about jazztrios.
